ABOUT ME

Ehi Ejele who also goes by the artist name 'AshZone' is a young self-taught bedroom music producer & illustrator who's music has been heavily influenced by soundtracks in various childhood video games such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Ridge Racer, WipEout & Jet Set Radio, trying to include those styles into different modern music genres, creating a distinctive music style that includes a heavy use of sampling, sound manipulation & very catchy synth melodies. Skills include heavy knowledge on Digital Audio Workstations such as Ableton Live, Pro-Tools & Logic Pro. Additional skills include knowledge on sound design created on listed Digital Audio Workstations. AshZone has a huge interest in creating concept & themed music which is very evident in his 2nd EP “XENO” which was released in 2017 under the label called TinyWaves, based on the mini-webcomic series under the same name. Musical inspirations include favourite artists & composers such as Hideki Naganuma (the composer of Jet Set Radio’s soundtrack), James Landino, Childish Gambino, Knucks, Tomoya Ohtani, Bonobo & Todd Edwards for melodic vocal sampling style. Interest in music production is shown through remixing music from various video games as well as releasing original music, while studying Level 6 Electronic Music Production in University.
